Ryan Gustafson Head Coach - Ryan Gustafson

Ryan Gustafson will be leading the CVHS Girls Lacrosse team in 2009. Coach Gustafson is in his 4th year of teaching Physical Education at CVHS and six years of football coaching experience. He is very excited to join our Girls Lacrosse program.
Debbie "Smitty" Smith Assistant Coach - Debbie "Smitty" Smith

Coach Smitty hails from Richmond, British Columbia, a suburb of Vancouver. She played 11 years of Box Lacrosse, winning numerous Provincial and National championships as well as top goaltender honors 5 years in a row. In her 12th and final year of lacrosse, an opportunity arose to play for Canada in the first Womens Field Lacrosse World Cup Championship, played in Nottingham England in 1982. Canada entered the championship as underdogs and still managed to bring home the bronze finishing behind the United States and Australia in the competition. The year after the World Cup, Coach Smitty followed a career opportunity that landed her in Southern California. "I am very excited to see how much the sport has grown in Southern California over the years and I am happy to have had the opportunity to help coach CVHS Girl's Lacrosse
Chelsea Perez Assistant Coach - Chelsea Perez

Coach Chelsea graduated from Capistrano Valley HS in 2008 and is currently attending Saddleback College. She was team captain for the 2008 CVHS girls lacrosse team and was named MVP and Coach's Award winner. In 2008, Chelsea scored 40 goals and had 2 assists and was ranked among the top scorers in Orange County. She also played soccer at CVHS, but was looking for more excitement and something new to try and found lacrosse!!! Chelsea looks forward to her first season as a coach and is glad to be a part of the growth of Southern California lacrosse.
